Hey
Jesse,
A few weeks ago, you helped me via phone to recover my
iPhoto images.
two things
First, I'd like to pay you
for the time you spent with me on the phone.
Second, while
many of the images within iPhoto point to the actual file, point to
low-res alias's.
I know that the actual, high-res jpg's exist, because
I can find them if I look. But I'm wondering if there's a way
(other than manually sorting through 3500 images) to make it so that
all the images within the program actual point to the high-res files.
Does this make sense?
In any case, let me know what I owe you
for your time thus far and if this is something you can help
with.
Best,
Ben

Hi
Ben,
Yes , a few weeks ago I did help you on the phone with your
iphoto library corruption problem.
A quick
re-cap:
I instructed you to use "Find" .. and search for files that
were jpg, select them all .. and copy them to a new folder or onto an
external hard drive....
then .. call me back
I also
explained to you .. that if you made any errors in this process
.. that the result would be a great loss of your photos...
and basically you
had one shot at it.
I also told you
.... that if you would rather have me do the job .. to insure that
the "total process" of extracting your photos .. copying
them to a
new folder / or new folder on an external hard drive .. and verifying
them as good and not corrupt ... followed by re-building the
iphoto
database .. so you could actually use it again .. to
let me know.
You said you would try to copy them yourself and let
me know if you had any problems.
I said .. call me back as soon as you finished copying
them
You said .. you would.
The bottom line here
... for me is simple:
After waiting 2 or 3 weeks
..
Waiting to hear back from you .. about whether or not
you successfully were able to copy these files into a new folder / new
folder on an
external hard drive ..
Waiting to hear whether
or not you wanted me to help you complete the job
Waiting to hear whether or not you were going to settle the bill
...
This tells me a lot about how you operate.
I am
not really interested in getting any money from you ... or
in having you for a customer in the future.
Thank you for
your time, Jesse Larocque

Hi Jesse,
Your prerogative, of
course.
I'm not sure how it works in your world, but in my world
there are kids, a job, a farm, holidays, and all manner of distraction.
Hence the delay in correspondence. Ideally, I wouldn't have waited
this long to settle up. My bad, as the cool kids say. But here I am,
trying to make good and trying to give you more work.
I'm glad
to know you're busy enough to turn it away, and to do so in a fashion that
would make it really, really hard for me to recommend
your services to
anyone. Though I do appreciate the help a few weeks back.
Best
of luck,
Ben

Hi
Ben,
And you would hold up your Kids, farm, holidays .. in the air
for me to see .. as some sort of reason why you could not press
Re-Dial on the phone.
For the 30 seconds it takes to pick up
the phone and make the call .. like you were supposed to
do?
Nice try ..
go look in the mirror .. blame that
person.
I could care less if you recommend me or not . Just get
your facts straight
..
This email correspondence is
getting ready to become a full page advertisement on my website .. if you
keep this up .. under the title Black-Listed
Customers
It would be best if you do not contact me in any way ...
from this point forward, Jesse Larocque
